Le CEREM, centre de recherche en mécatronique de l'Université catholique de Louvain, recherche un ingénieur civil ou industriel en électromécanique pour travailler, en partenariat avec le SIRRIS de Liège, sur le projet EVOCOMP : Mise en oeuvre innovante de grandes structures composites thermoplastiques (TP) par conformation à géométrie évolutive. Le concept innovant de ce projet repose sur une technique de pultrusion équipée d’un conformateur dont la géométrie variable est programmable à partir de la CAO de l’objet à réaliser.
Le candidat travaillera à Louvain-La-Neuve et prendra en charge la réalisation du module de commande des actionneurs à partir des données CAO. Cette partie représente le cœur du projet, car il s’agit de synchroniser l’avance du flux de matière avec l’évolution de la géométrie de la pièce à réaliser.
La durée du contrat est de 18 mois. Engagement immédiat.

Faculty position in Manufactoring Processes and Systems

The successful candidate will have experience in high level research in one or more of the following fields:
- Manufacturing and materials processes,
- Assembly techniques,
- Machine design, including mechatronic components,
- Computer integrated manufacturing,
- Life cycle assessment
He (she) will carry out research in one or more of these fields. A competency in experimental work will be highly appreciated.
The successful candidate will have teaching assignments in the above-mentioned fields within the various degree programmes organised by the Faculty (Bachelor and Master degrees in Engineering). He (she) will have a significant implication in teaching in mechanical engineering and mechatronics: in particular the courses and projects related to production and materials processes, assembly techniques, and machine design.
Within the Sector of Sciences and Technologies (SST) of UCL, the position will be within the Institute of Mechanics, Materials and Civil Engineering (iMMC) and the Louvain School of Engineering (Ecole polytechnique de Louvain, EPL).
